You sound like a person who has some sense and intellect. Nice to see that honestly. I can agree and disagree with this statement. I believe there is an aspect to the job that is respectable. The service that they provide to the public regardless of the dangers involved, the stress and trauma that comes with every shift. There is no doubt an honorable aspect. The only issue is that we generalize everything when it's not that simple. "The police are good and should be respected" "The police are crooked and shouldn't" be trusted." Both of those statements are speaking about every officer as a whole and that is what continue the controversy between the two sides. Respect is earned but at the same time, a person shouldn't be confrontational or disrespectful to anyone because of their occupation. I would not put an officer, judge, attorney, Dr., or anyone up on a pedestal because of their job but that's just me. I can appreciate it and admire the efforts of the individual, but I won't lump them as a whole because they are only human. I think I get the point you are trying to make though. All this defund the police crap is ignorant. A person shouldn't have to be ridiculed just for going to work every day.

The intention of anyone is unknown other than to the person themselves. It must be hard being under a magnifying glass because of your title. Like, as an officer they are held to higher standards for everything simply because of their job. When in reality it's just a job and they are just a person.

The point is that a total reconstruction of the government is the only way to solve the issues with the system. If people were to focus their backwoods brains on the house and the senate and start making changes there, then you would see actual change. Damn hospital put me on oxy contin after my wreck, I made the mistake of thinking It wasn't needed so I just stopped taking it. After that I was so violently sick I was throwing up acid, was picked up by ambulance with irregular heartbeat, was pumped full of morphine & was all better. I tried to argue with them but they said I had to have it I was going to be on it for the pain the rest of my life. Well if they do that b. s. to you don't cut them in half to ease off them lol that was bad, I figured out take one every o. c. 80 everyday instead of 2 then 1 every other day, then every 3 days then stop & thank God you lived. That was me being used as an oxymoron.
